Chapter 11
When things were going as well as they were with him and Addison, you didnât rock the boat. Thatâs at least what Ryan thought.
It had been a week since their first night together and each day only got better. They spent every evening together and while Ryan didn't stay all night with her every time because of Reed, he didnât feel like they were missing out. They were still taking it slow with the sex part of their relationship so it wasnât that big of a deal.
It was actually better that he didnât spend the night with her because on the nights he did, he found it hard to keep his hands to himself.
He was on his way to Brandonâs house to hang with the guys while the ladies made food for Thanksgiving dinner. Normally heâd be fine spending time with his friends while Addison was with hers but tonight he was worried. And it was all his own fault.
That morning heâd closed on the house that heâd fallen in love with. And Addison had no idea. At least not yet. But since Carly knew, and he figured Leah and Melanie knew, he was screwed. There was no way they were going to keep it a secret, especially when he hadnât told them that it was a secret.
It wasnât like he went out of his way to hide it from her. It just hadnât come up in conversation.
Yeah, that sounded stupid even to himself.
Theyâd gotten so close the last week, talked about everything. But for some reason, he couldnât bring himself to tell her about the house. Or the office he was opening.
What the fuck was wrong with him?
She was amazing and each day he spent with her, he fell deeper and deeper in love.
And no, he hadnât told her that yet. Heâd basically just figured it out himself so there was no way he was ready to tell her.
Some days he wondered if heâd ever be ready. If he couldnât tell her about a house and a job, how the hell would he tell her that he loved her?
Pulling into Brandonâs, he got out of his car and walked the short distance to the front of the house. The front door was open, so he just walked right in. There was no one around that he could see but within seconds of being inside, he heard voices. Walking to the open basement door, he descended the steps and the voices got louder and louder.
What he found was Logan and Brandon battling it out in a wild game of ping pong.
âThat hit the line!â Logan shouted after Brandon served the ball.
âStop being a baby, it didnât hit the line.â
âJudge,â Logan said and looked over to where Tony was standing at the bar.
âI already told you two that I am not getting involved.â
Ryan stepped deeper into the room, Brandon finally noticing him. âHey, man, about time you got here. I need all the reinforcements I can get to put up with these two.
